BBC NEWS | Northern Ireland | IRA says armed campaign is over

So 16:00 it is all over, I suppose it is good news but all I feel is cynical. And a resolve to avoid watching the News in case I catch Tony Tremble Lip pausing his way through a fatuous statement. Absolute meaningless statement.

IRA Disbands.

PIRA forms

or Real IRA

or New IRA

or Son of IRA

Thanks for the link.

Here's a quick summary of how to respond to the IRA statement.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me four times, shame on me.

Poor Tony, the intrepid neo-Churchillian fighter against terrorism is in love with doing deals with IRA terrorism. And still the beat goes on...and the murder, and the criminality, and the terror infra-structure.

One final point - I'm just hoping that when the IRA "DUMP" their illegal weapons, it will be done in an environmentally responsible manner.
