Telegraph | News | Blair tries to keep out 'peerage' police

Tony Blair is determined to keep the door to No 10 closed to detectives in an attempt to limit the embarrassment of being the first serving prime minister in 70 years to be interviewed in a political corruption inquiry.

70 years eh? I suppose they're due for a proper inquiry, that was a bundle of money they spread around...

I'm sure Winnie will be able to sort it out.

Isn't this typical bloody NuLabour? We have the first serving prime minister in Gods know how long about to be interviewed under caution concerning corruption. And yet he and his advisors aren't in a flat spin about the PM possibly being charged, they are worried about the photos.

NuLabour - all image, no susbstance
