Chilli Cook-off - A Date for Your Diary
Saturday 23rd May JUNE - King's Arms, All Cannings, Wiltshire.
It is the BIG Chilli (or Chili to our colonial cousins) Cook-Off - see the advert to the right.
Will Mr FM attempt to beat me again? Will anyone survive Geoff Baker's Ring of Fire? Have you booked your space yet? If not why not?
It promises to be bigger and better than last year so I would be pleased to greet any readers who can make it, plenty of room for a few more tents in the garden so you can enjoy the beer as well.
I look forward to seeing you here. (And any tips are welcomed in the comments, as I failed to pick up a prize last year....)

Do they use a different calendar in darkest Wiltshire. When I was working in Corsham the dates lined up with the rest of the UK. The 23rd is a Wednesday in May but a Saturday in June.
TE- We don't hold with any of that Gregorian Calendar nonsense, Guvmnt trying to steal our days off us...
(Thanks - Now corrected)

Sounds like a good day..do you allow northerners?

Are you aiming for heat or for flavour? I love a bit of chilli - just the barest smidge necessary - when it's used for flavour, but heat is an absolute no-no.

Alas the amaRemittansi will not be able to make this event.
We will however join our English cousins in spirit with a "remittance ringburner peri-peri poitjie" luncheon on the same day.
If the recipe proves successful I shall e-mail a taster for you to enjoy.

btw, what has become of Mr FM of late? He's very conspicuous by his absence - nothing serious I trust.
