So it is society that forcefed me that supersized burger yesterday was it? The statists are on the march to attack any freedom we have to make choices.

These poltroons ought to realise that there's more than one way of being puffed up.

I like the way it's "individuals cannot be "held" responsible". What does this mean? Food police "holding you responsible"?

What they mean of course is "cannot be allowed to BE responsible for..."

Who, 50 years ago, would have believed the strange tyranny that the future held? We are creating quite the strangest society. Aldous Huxley tried to warn us, but back then it seemed so fantastic... incredible in the literal sense...

I'm constantly drawn to consider what it must've been like for a pagan living in Rome, watching a minority of loonies, who at first you laughed, take over and impose their madness. What a strange day it must have been for the pagan majority the day Constantine made Christianity the state religion. We're living through a similar transition now. I used to wonder, why didn't the pagans stand up for themselves? Why did they let it happen? Now I understand how powerless they must have felt, how excluded they must have felt, and how little they could actually do.
