Blogging Puppies "Offensive"

Police apologise for 'offensive to Muslims' puppy dog advert

A police force apologised today after complaints that an advert featuring a German shepherd puppy could be offensive to members of the local Muslim community.

Tayside Police used a picture of 29-week-old black puppy Rebel on postcards promoting the force's new non-emergency telephone number.

But the choice of the image, which shows Rebel sitting in a police officer's hat, was questioned by a Dundee councillor who said it would "not be welcomed" by some communities.

And the puppy has a blog so he is one of us, we must protest on his behalf!

What is really offensive is that taxpayers pay for a "diversity advisor". PC garbage and pandering to easily offended minorities have created a whole army of non-jobs filled by worthless individuals. Surely they'd be better employed sweeping the streets or kissing my arse?

I was going to blog about this, after seeing it in the Metro this morning.

As far as I am concerned, people who find puppies like that offensive need to have their heads looked at. This is our country. That's one of our police dogs. It's damned cute too. People need to get over themselves. This PC crap needs to be sorted out.

I think it great that the Mohammedans are getting upset and shouting loudly about this. Nothing will turn the British Bingo going masses against Islam more effectively than being nasty to cuddly things..... bombing and maiming has little effect but be nasty about a puppy ! Bloody Hell there will be outrage !

As everyone else has (nearly) said, it's time we started telling these people to take hike.

If they are that easily offended, Britain may not be the best place for them to live - perhaps they should reconsider.

Oh no! How did THAT happen? I blame Bill Gates.
