My chippie Dad lived to 82 without Asthma. He was finally seen off by the NHS with pneumonia resulting from chronic neglect after a stroke. However, because he had been a smoker, he went down as a smoking related death, not the fact that he wasn't seen by a doctor for 12 hours even though he was in hospital and had a fever.
