Metric 'martyrs' win fight to save imperial measures - Telegraph

Councils will be banned from taking the so-called "metric martyrs" to court for "essentially minor offences" such as selling goods weighed in pounds and ounces.

Good news if it is true, the bastards will still try and control in any way they can...


That's worth celebrating! I'm off to the pub to quaff 568 ml of ale in their honour.

This is not being done by the regional government in Westminster. This is being done by our real government in Brussels.


John Denham, the Innovation Secretary has been told to do so by the EU Vice-President and Commissioner for Enterprise and Industry G√ľnter Verheugen, a move that he announced 11th September.
