Digging around the Met Office files I came across this.

I hadn't seen it before, but I swear I had heard them warn us of increasing storminess due to Climate Change....

I expect this one will be err......seasonally adjusted & smoothed & averaged for the latest available science until it shows that it is getting stormier & warmer all at the same time!

I believe the warning was that we could expect an annual crop of Katrina/Rita-style hurricanes and tidal waves... which never happened.
