Friday Night is Music Night (Rose Smith Special Edition)

I posted the video sometime ago, chosen partly because it is the only one I can find featuring the loveliest of the Ikettes - Rose Smith.
My toiling in the blogyard was all made worthwhile when, out of the blue, Rose Smith sent me a nice comment, followed by this email:
I have just started my research into that whole rock experience, and perhaps I can land something that would be interesting to place on your blog. In the meantime, I will look in often to see what's going on in your world.
Kind regards,
Rose Smith
(Ikette Rose)
P.S. You may post whatever I send from now on (although it will be sometime out), starting with the note above or paraphrase it for me. Attached is a pix to put with it. I don't take pictures that often.
Pictures below the fold. I'm still stunned.

She's still lovely.

Dear Tim,
Tears. Of joy ! I've always loved that song, so to have such a personal connection to it is great. Rose is a lovely lady, and gracious too.
Alan Douglas
PS Too much to hope for - would Rose comment on the allegedly tempestuous relationship between Ike and Tina ? Was it really as bad as more recent songs and interviews make out - he's not around any more to put his side ....

Aah, memories! I warmly recall seeing the Ike & Tina show at the Albert Hall in 1960-something-or-other. (Can't be more specific; all that bad acid, Man.) I was in what would normally have been regarded as a poor seat, behind the stage, but of course it meant I got a great view of the Ikettes shaking their delicious backsides. I think if I'd been in one of the front rows I would have spontaneously combusted.

They don't make em like that anymore.
Wall of sound and no proper sound man to set the levels so the mike isn't scratchy, love it.
