May England always lose at football

Football's debt to socialism | Simon Hattenstone | Comment is free | guardian.co.uk
John Barnes has said England will never win the World Cup unless they understand football is a socialist sport

That explains a lot - may football whither on the vine!

It's all the same with the lefty lot! No-one wants a part of them, so they have to infiltrate and try to hi-jack the ties that bind us.

People like Michael Rosen who seems to think the notion that England is a nation is 'laughable' - though he, with sneering condescention, does admit to 'admiring' Chaucer, Shakespeare and Dickens. (http://www.socialistunity.com/?p=6246)

At first I found it hard to understand how anyone could claim soccer was a socialist sport, but then I suddenly recieved my moment of clarity:

Regardless of which we are discussing, those in charge promote lives of virtue, hard work, frugality and discipline with the promise that their followers will experience great joy if they do. In reality, of course, all those followers really experience is the massive vacuuming of their wallets and a growing sense of disappointment and frustration while the perpetrators enjoy lifestyles completely at odds with the commandments they give their supporters.

Socialism. Association Football. There's not much to chose between the pair of 'em if push comes to shove.
