There is an easy way to deal with this. Require intermittent renewables to not be directly connected to the Grid. They could use batteries, flywheels, pumped storage or whatever else to deal with *their* problems rather than require all of us to have smart meters, rationing and brownouts to accommodate their shit.

Renewable resources should make cost of electricity lower, not higher. Can't take the logic in that
